Rules (Read them!)
Every good forum needs rules, right?
1.No explicit, sexual, or illegal content including ROMs, pornography, music, etc.
2. Keep swearing to a minimum.
3. No double posting, spam, off topic posts, or necro-posting.
4. Do not ask to be a staff member.
5. The maximum size for images in a signature is 600 pixels wide and 200 pixels tall. Keep text within a reasonable line limit.
Failure to follow the rules can result in warnings and bans. Ignorance is no excuse. Rules are subject to change, and the title will be updated to reflect any changes.

Re: Rules (Read them!)
I don't see any reason for you not to like them...
What's necro-posting? Posting dead stuff?

I was joking. Sara wanted me to check whether non-admins could post in the administrator area.

Re: Rules (Read them!)
Just to clear some things up for everyone: "test" is not a person. "test" is a non-admin account used by admins to see the board from a regular member's perspective, which allows them to check for permissions and generally see how the board looks to members. It helps us figure out problems and such. If you see a post by test, it's probably us checking something, so you really shouldn't take it seriously. Since Anthony was the one who set the parameters for the Announcement forum, I asked him if he remembered to allow members to reply to topics, and he used test to check.
Necro-posting is reviving a dead topic for no good reason. For example: Member A sees a topic that has been inactive for several months. Said member decides to post that they agree with what Member B said in a post in the topic. Member A doesn't add anything to the argument by posting, and is simply reviving a topic to add to post count.

Re: Rules (Read them!)
aww... No going "bump"? How are you supposed to get a topic from being deleted? (if it's an rp thread can you say something like:pikachu yawned and looked up at the clouds"? So that people can see that you are on the thread. Then they come on and it becomes active? (sorry for the questions I just want to know?)Schala wrote:Just to clear some things up for everyone: "test" is not a person. Re: Rules (Read them!)
Bumping/double posting on any thread right now would really be unnecessary...
Certain forums allow (or will once their individual rules are up) for bumping/double posting on topics of your own creation. Such places include Writing and Art so that you can update shops/stories/etc, topics in the Trade Center so people can keep offers and shops alive, and such similar instances. RPs also operate under this. If you want to double post on an RP to bump it up AFTER it has left the first page, I don't mind (allowing double posts in that section is actually under each OPs discretion anyway; I would only be getting involved with something there if people were breaking rules 1 and 2 or if I was asked to step in to stop a spammer or a dispute). That rule is to prevent people from spamming other threads to increase post count.
Also, you shouldn't worry about an inactive topic being deleted. Currently, the forum is not set to clean up old topics, so it won't just disappear if it's not posted in for a while. If that has to change in the future, I'll give fair warning so they can save anything they want to keep.

Re: Rules (Read them!)
Where you get a picture is entirely up to you. You can make something and upload it from your computer, or find something on the internet. Just make sure you don't claim work that isn't yours.
After you have one, it can be added to the site using the Avatar tab found in the Profile link at the top of the page.
In the future, please use the Questions and Suggestions forum for questions that don't pertain directly to the rules.
