Platinum > Diamond/Pearl?

So it seems like the fandom for this generation is split.

A lot of people say that Diamond and/or Pearl is the best Pokemon game they've ever played, while a lot of others say that they were dull, and Platinum was by far better. Then there are those who say Platinum was no different than D/P, and is on equal grounds with it.

Where do you stand?

Well, Platinum did improve some things. I have to say that the Distortion World was pretty awesome. Overall though, it was still just a third game in the generation. It's like Crystal and Emerald. I think that if a person had to choose one of them to buy, Platinum would be the best choice. However, I also think that many people find Platinum unnecessary. I have to say that if I had to choose one, I would choose Platinum, but it's not as huge an improvement as some people seem to think.

It's as Schala says, but I must add the battle frontier and the being able to fight against the gym leaders again thing, to the better things on platinum

I never played Diamond/Pearl, but I do know that the reviews for Platinum were a lot better. So I'd assume Platinum > Diamond & Pearl.

Personally, I prefer Platinum to DP, mainly because of the Battle Frontier, but I also like the Villa. I'm also randomly obsessed with the Croagunk board in Pastoria. :3

Yh... does that board have any purpose?! Or is it just there for you to put your head in the hole?

I lost interest by Platinum.
