Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Yeah, I've got big French and Writing tests in the near future, so I may not be on much, plus I'll be gone this weekend until Sunday morning.

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Hey, I'm back. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. This is Platinumlucario.
Um, I have MSA testings, and a math HSA coming up. If you are wondering why a 7th grader is taking an HSA, it's because me and a lot of kids are in this GT program. Bleh, I'm really sick of tests. Not to mention I have another Spanish test coming up. Dumb GT program.

Poor PlatinumLucario/AuraFlash.
Today is a P.A. day so we don't go to school. I'm glad it was today.

Today was torture, but it was very amusing. My friend and pretty much the whole school hates this reading teacher, so he wrote about her for an English assignment, and made a variation of her name, so it turned out to be Mrs. Chairlplop.
I won't fill in the details of what he wrote...you will be surprised at what 7th graders at my school can write. But the story in our perspective was hilarious.

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Now I'm kind of missing school, the class having detention being we're being too loud.
Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Detention? that stinks...I remember detention in 6th grade wasn't as harsh, thanks to Wind Ensemble. If a teacher gave you detention(it was always at lunch), if you were in Wind Ensemble, you could tell him/her that you have Wind Ensemble, and the detention was simply cancelled. Now that was stupid, this one idiot got away with it more than ten times.
And yes, Wind Ensemble Rehersals were at 6th grade lunch, which is actually 7th and 8th grade "Comet Time," a.k.a free time. So I had to wait for 6th grade comet time, at 8th grade lunch. My schedule is very confusing to you people.
As a 7th grader, my lunch is right after Wind Ensemble rehersal.

And yes, I'll be very busy this week because of exams and then I won't be on for a week after Friday. Going to my mothers and she has no internet of any kind.

I play Bb Clarinet. I'm considering learning Alto Saxaphone to join Jazz band next year.

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Ah. Our band is so small, it's pathetic. Half of the members we do have can't play their way out of a wet paper bag. We have:
9 Flutes - about 5 are actually at a good level.
7 Clarinets - about 4 actually play in class, 2 are at a good level
3 Trumpets- 1 actually plays and is somewhat good.
3 Trombones- 2 are good.
1 Alto Sax - Seriously, I've lost all faith in him.
1 Tenor Sax - (me) I'm pretty good for an 8th grader, but it's hard to do anything because there's only one of me.
1 Bass Clarinet - he's really good, but he's quitting next year.
3 Percussionists- Good, but annoying. One of them was a GREAT Alto Sax player, but he decided that he wanted to do Percussion instead. Then he fed our band director this story how when he got his Sax back from repairs (nothing was wrong with it) some time after he sent it (4 months?-yeah right...) he "forgot how to play" which is a total lie because he was one of the best players we had.
So yeah.

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Tenor Sax? My friend was the only Tenor sax until...uh...long story. wow that is a small band no offense.
My band...uh, let's see:
14 clarinets(I think): 5 including me are actually good. Everyone else either stinks or their clarinet is broken(and I mean BROKEN), so I haven't really heard them.
3 Basoons: They are all good.
3 Bass Clarinets: only 1 is good.
5 Alto Sax: 3 are good, but two of them are 8th graders
8-9 Percussionists- I can't tell. One of them is also a French Horn player, but the only reason he sometimes plays percussion is because nobody else wants a certain part.
10 Flutes: 4-5 of them are good.
4 French Horns: All good, but one is a part time percussionist (blame the piece Reverberations by Brian Balmages)
2 Tenor Sax- 1 is good, the other one...I don't know how he got in, honestly.
7+ Trumpets: Only 3 of them are good.
4 Trombones: They all stink. They play like a bunch of sissys. I'm serious, they are much more quieter than the flutes!
2 Tubas: They are both awesome.
3 Euphoniums- only one is awesome.
1 Bari sax- He stinks. Period.
...There's a lot of people in my Wind Ensemble...

Dang. I wish I went to your school.
So yeah, this whole '1 Level per Pokewalker walk' is really bothering me.

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
It is kind of annoying. Then again, the walker does allow you to get some Pokemon that either have special moves, or are Pokemon that you can't usually find that early on, as well as some nice items and happiness boosts, so I'm not too torn up about the levels. It's a gimmick to get kids more active, adding a chance to go up several levels seems like it could take away far too much from the actual game. Kids would just use it to level, catch Pokemon, and get items, instead of playing the game. There has to be something that the walker can't do well.
Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
I guess you're right. It did bother me though, when I go to school and walk 4000+ steps and only get my level 7 Wooper to level 8...but now I'm trying to raise my Typhlosion to beat Clair, so my 4000+ steps a day aren't enough!

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
It's MUCH faster to level up a Pokemon in game, of course. You could always look at it as free exp while you're at school, since you can't play the game while you're in class (unless your classes are easy enough that you don't have to pay attention and your teachers don't care).
Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
lol but the only class where the teacher doesn't care about much is social studies.
I got a D on my math test on exponents. Azn fail xP But I ended up doing like 24 to the 6th power...and stuff like that T.T

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Ah, yeah. Most high schools are like that. By the time you get to college, no one important really cares. I was at Relay for Life this past weekend. Our organization had a "Pokemon couch", named for the fact that everyone on it was playing one of the Pokemon games. The frat that was set up next to us had Stadium 2 playing on their N64 for a while, and two of the guys were playing Pokemon on their computers (emulators, obviously). Also, since we always had someone walking, we just passed the walkers to whoever was heading up to the track. Needless to say, there were a lot of steps on them by the end of the day. Fun times.
Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Ha, I'm sure most are, but I'm a middle schooler. Apparently it's not as bad at high school, but in middle school you have to stay really self-conscious. I hate it.
Random Rant: Why is it that 'popular' people think that you should do whatever they want? It's really annoying when I get called curse words (or most of the time, I just get the finger) for not giving up my seat for them? Argh.

Sorry for not being here for so long, I've been busy with school. But I'll try to pick up in activity again

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
Herm. Got into a writing mood last night and wrote a lot more for Chromatic, which leaves the question: Should I repost all the old chapters here, or find a new forum home for it?

Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
You're certainly welcome to post it here. It would get the more feedback if you posted it to several different forums, though.
Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
I was also thinking of posting a story here. Also, could poems be submitted in the Writing forum?
Re: Official Daily Chit Chat!
The Writing forum is for any written piece of work, provided it doesn't break the rules (explicit, plagiarized, etc). You can post stories, poems, and even papers there, so go wild.
